FRx Intro to Intermediate Class

Two-day class
9 am- 4pm.

This two day class is ideal for the accountant who has had little formal training in FRx financial report creation.  For those who have only edited or modified existing financial reports and have not created their own-this course will be quite valuable. Students will learn how to:

  • Change financial statement formats so they are more useful
  • Create rows, columns and trees and understand how they work together
  • Format page headers, footers and layouts
  • Understand how to create reports that use or compare to budgets and prior months/years.
  • Export Reports to Excel
  • Many other useful skills for extracting financial data

Management Reporter Class

Two-day class

This two day class is intended for end users, or accounting professionals who build and maintain the organization’s financial reporting package. It is strongly recommended that individuals have a general knowledge of the Windows operating system, basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, prior knowledge in building financial statements, and an understanding of their specific XBRL reporting requirements. Students will learn how to:

  • Design basic report building blocks in Report Designer
  • Associate the building blocks in a variety of report definitions
  • Discover the power and flexibility of reporting trees to present financial results at the responsibility level (i.e. by dimensions)
  • Apply worksheet linking to report on data maintained in Microsoft Office Excel
  • Use report output and distribution options including Report Viewer
  • Implement security including customized roles, groups, and users
  • Design reports that support XBRL
  • Use the Report Wizard to create reports
