Boyer makes top 100 list for accounting software resellers

Bob Scott’s Insights announces 2017 top 100 VARs

Boyer & Associates is pleased to announce we have once again made the Top 100 VARs list as recognized by Bob Scott’s Insights. The list recognizes the top 100 resellers of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, with companies ranked according to their annual revenue. This is the eighth consecutive year that Boyer has made the list.

“We would like to thank our loyal clients for adding so many projects this past year to help us reach this milestone again,” said president Jack Boyer. “Our employees continue to improve in our constant effort to make clients better.”

Who We Are

Boyer & Associates is an ERP software provider in Minneapolis, Minn. We are a Microsoft gold-certified partner specializing in the sale, implementation and support of Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL, Dynamics NAV and, most recently, Dynamics 365 for Financials.

What Bob Scott Says About Us

Bob Scott has covered the accounting industry as an editor of various publications for more than 25 years. Boyer & Associates has been named in his annual Top 100 VARs list every year since it debuted in 2010.

Titled “The Winds of Change Blow Hard,” the spring 2017 edition of Bob Scott’s Insights newsletter focuses on the industry’s trend toward doing more business in the cloud. As editor Bob Scott notes, the companies who made the most recent top 100 list have had to stay on top of changing trends in the industry, including the move toward cloud technology and rapid automation.

How We’ve Adapted

Top 100 VARs 2017

Bob Scott’s Insights recently released its Top 100 VARs of 2017 list.

In a year defined by the cloud, Boyer & Associates has maintained our spot in the top 100 by being at the forefront of this trend within our chosen product line. When Microsoft announced Dynamics 365 for Financials, its first Software as a Service (SaaS) ERP product, Boyer was one of the first to jump on board.

Dynamics 365 has both an Enterprise and Business edition. Boyer currently implements the Business edition, which is frequently billed as an alternative for users who are outgrowing QuickBooks. Some resellers have been reluctant to get on board with the product, saying it is not yet fully developed and therefore not ready for the public.

Jack Boyer acknowledged that the Business edition of Dynamics 365 needs a bit of work, but he has faith that Microsoft will bring the product up to speed quickly. With that in mind, he has strategically set Boyer & Associates to be at the front lines for those looking to implement a Microsoft cloud ERP.

Looking Forward

In addition to a move toward more cloud-based software and services, Scott notes that the most successful VARs for 2017 have also trended toward a more specialized focus, gearing their products and services for a specific type of client.

For Boyer & Associates, that focus has always been on Microsoft products, with many of our clients coming from the nonprofit industry. Boyer focuses much of our energy into implementing innovative solutions that are geared specifically for nonprofit companies.

Some of Minnesota’s most-renowned nonprofits use Boyer & Associates, including Gillette Children’s Hospital, Lutheran Social Services, Accra, the Ordway and many more. See why Boyer is the choice for so many companies looking for a partner to support their financial management software.
